Hello and Happy Holidays to everyone!
At our house we are counting down the sleeps until Santa comes (only 9 to go!). Now that Frances is 2 3/4 years old she is VERY interested in all the magic that goes along with the holiday season. She belts out Frosty the Snowman lyrics on a daily basis and definitely knows the words better than I ever have. She also just learned about how we should leave cookies and milk for Santa when he visits so he doesn't get hangry on his adventures. She politely said we don't have any cookies (which of course we do) and that we should instead set out carrots. I think we will plan to leave out both just incase.
I am happy to report that the seeds have arrived for the 2020 season! Boxes and boxes of them. It's like Santa came early for this farmer! After spending hours and hours scrutinizing our crop plan and determining our seed needs, it is a huge check off on the big old to-do list to have the seeds on the property. Believe it or not, the first seeds will be planted in the greenhouse is just 10 weeks! That sounds magical doesn't it? Just the idea of the season to come is one thing, but to actually get the first seeds growing makes it very real and very exciting.
Are you still looking for the perfect gift this giving season? We have gift certificates! Nothing says love like fresh vegetables. The certificates can be used at our farm store, our Appleton Farm Market stand or for a share purchase on our website. Just call 920-979-9658 to get one ordered or reply to this email. Please allow ample time for mailing certificates if needed. The store is not open this time of season, but arrangements can be made for picking up a certificate at the farm right up until the big day. Just call or email first.
