Apologies for the later then usual CSA message--been a busy week! We're tidying up some old fields and getting ready to call it good. The rain is supposed to be returning sometime early October--a welcome surprise for some of our warmer crops that are still taking their time after a truly bizarre start of the year.
This week features my favorite green--bietola chard. I know Swiss chard typically isn't a crowd favorite. But hear me out. This chard legit legit tastes like spinach. I had some the other day chopped raw with olive oil, salt, and an egg on top. Divine.
