Greetings from the Farm,
It will be very different Holiday Season this year without seeing family and the usual gatherings. We usually have a Christmas Eve Party at my parents house and it has been a tradition for over 20 years. I know they were getting a little tired of hosting the event (so maybe a blessing in disguise for them), but we will greatly miss it! Hopefully it will be back on next year. Although not as social a season, we are enjoying the slower pace and being together as a family. Savor the time you have with those you love and your family.
Monday is the Winter Soltice. "What's beautiful about seasonal holidays is their ability to unite. None more so than the darkest days of the year. The Winter Solstice marks a time when the sun stands still in the sky for three days at its southernmost point. It then slowly turns direction and makes its long trek northward toward the Summer Solstice. These natural turning points resonate with so many because the energies are palpable and visceral. We feel them in our bones. In December, the darkness calls us home and asks for an expectant waiting for the return of the light." -Lorrie Season
Farm extra shares will be getting a bag of Dublin Roasters coffee-it is a custom blend made just for you!
We are keeping the HOME FARM SATURDAY pick up to start at 10 am as it is supposed to get very cold again Friday night.
Thanks for supporting our farm with your membership. Enjoy your holidays!
