Today is the first day of summer and it sure feels like it at 91 degrees. Hopefully it won't be this hot too many days! Heather's due date is the 23rd and we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the newest addition to the Sayler family. She is such an amazing mother and never complains even with two wild kids, hot weather, a busy husband, a household to take care of, and fully pregnant!
With the warm weather comes more warm season crops. New this week are cucumbers and hopefully some beans and other items we will add to the list after harvesting this week if we have them. We also have local blueberries from Butler's orchard-they are available by the pint, quart, and 10 lb box. We also have 1/2 bushels of pickling cucumbers available.

If you would like to preserve this season's harvest to enjoy later in the year or during the winter months, please let us know and we add you to our bulk buyers list. Some common items people want are canning tomatoes, pickling cucumbers, and beets.
Progress on infrastructure is going well. It has been tough finding the time to focus on it with so many other everyday task that need to be taken care of. We have a 20 x 60 strucutre fully assembled, a pad graded for a walk-in cooler, and a ditch dug to run electrical. Hopefully the walk-in can get finished this week. Then we wait for electric to be run and the dream of doing everything on the farm will be realized! You may not know that now we have to make many runs back and forth from the farm to the house to get produce refridgerated and pack CSA shares.
