Fall Farm

Posted on October 4th, 2019 by Charis Lindrooth

In spite of a 90 degree afternoon mid-week, fall has hit the farm. Leaves have started dropping and the tomato vines look weary. The rhythm of the crops and crew alike has slowed down, to a gentler pace...less harried...more peaceful. The rows of cabbages, broccoli and kale are a feast for the eyes as we drive up the lane, with silvery-blue-green leaves contrasting with the muted greens and browns of the rest of the field. It makes me want to toss up my easel and paint, if only I could capture the dew that sparkles on them in the early morning! Even my camera fails to convey such beauty.
