Hello Rivendale members! It's always exciting to write the Happenings Newsletter, because it means we pushed through another week and are looking ahead to the week to come.
No joke, farming is some of the most rewarding and challenging work I can imagine. Each day has an intense mix of things that go right and wrong. Mistakes and mishaps are all part of the experience when farming. Of course, Instagram makes it look pretty romantic. And don't get me wrong, there are beautiful moments each day. But there is a lot of blood (and mud), sweat, and tears in farming. And the end of August is a time of year where we have to push ourselves to stay focused and determined. Fortunately, we are part of a team here at the farm. And there is usually someone there to pick you up when you're down. In addition, knowing that the food we grow is headed to you--our CSA members--is a true source of inspiration. So thanks for being along for this ride. We are so grateful for your support.
