Hi there, Rivendale members. Welcome to CSA week 21 (out of 22).
We realize that this will be the last week for some of our bi-weekly members. So let us just reiterate how grateful we are that we had the chance to help feed you this year. We hope you enjoyed it and will consider joining us again for the 2019 season. We will be sure to stay in touch!
We are also excited to have a nice mix of produce to wind down the season. While our fall crops didn't yield like we wanted them to due to the wet weather, we do have some beets, carrots, and cabbage to share this week. Plus we have lots of fresh turmeric to offer from our greenhouse. This is another new, unique item we grew this year. Turmeric is great with rice or curry style dishes. A quick Google search will turn up lots of exciting options.
This is an exciting week for our CSA for another reason too. This will be the most boxes we have ever filled in a given week. In fact, we are just about double where we were a year ago. We love that the word is spreading, and we appreciate how many of you have told your friends, family, and neighbors about Rivendale.
Enjoy these last boxes, and please do stay in touch. We love hearing from you.
On behalf of the crew,
Neil
ps--Our pic this week shows the winter transformation of the greenhouse. What was once filled with tomatoes to the ceiling is now back to beds of greens.
