We are SO excited to announce that we are now USDA Certified Organic!
While we have been using organic practices our entire farming careers, including before we became Robinette, we are thrilled that our land now holds this important label.
This blog post by Lauren Palmer at Bloomsbury Organic Farm explains why it is important to choose organic and the power of consumer choices.
We believe in the integrity of USDA Organic and are proud to have this certification, but we also see room for improvement in the organic certification standards. We do our best as farmers when we work with the rhythms of nature, not against them, so at Robinette we are always looking for ways to reduce our impact, improve our methods, and find ways to mimic nature to benefit our goal of producing healthy food for our community.

Farm Updates
We are finally beginning to transition to some of the high summer crops!
You all are beginning to see more tomatoes, peppers, and even a few eggplant sneaking in the shares as the weeks fly by. The melons are about the size of my fist and are growing quickly and in the next few weeks we will be swimming in them so get ready!
Because of a few very wet weeks in late May and June we are feeling a bit of a "gap" in our production so you may end up seeing less diversity for a couple weeks while we move through that. With the heat breaking on Sunday, this week we have been planting and direct seeding lots of crops for the fall. The greens will be back, I promise!
Thank you all for your support and have a great week!
