Tomato season has officially arrived! The plants love these warm nights, and the tomatoes are coming on strong. Our plants are loaded with loaded with sweet, juicy cherry tomoatoes. Our Heirloom and Big Boy tomatoes are ripe and ready for the picking. We have attached a picture of some of our Heirlooms. You'll notice that they look different from most of those you see in local grocery stores. They are a non-hybrid, flavorful tomato with a dark red, almost purple skin. We pick them prior to them rippening comepletely to help avoid splitting, but it still occurs sometimes. If you let them sit on the counter for a day or two after recieving them, they will finish rippening comepletely. You'll also notice that they have a distinct look to them. This isn't a bad thing; it just means they're a bit of a misfit as far as looks go. Give them a try and they'll knock your socks off!
