Trumpeter Swan Farm CSA News - Summer, Week 12, August 17 thru August 19
---- Sweet Onions ----
Our first onions out the door are the sweet yellows - Candy (Vidalia) and Walla Walla. They are nice and sweet this year! Be sure to save them for special treats like hamburgers, onion rings or roast beef. And they get even better when fried, wonderful for topping hashbrowns or steak! More pungent storage onions will come later.
---- Tomatoes ----
Slicers are coming in very nice, still not to many but they will pick up rapidly. However cherry tomatoes are here in full swing so anyone who wants them should be able to get a hold of them.
