Granny Smith apples - it's baking time

The harvest at Livesay Orchards has been smaller all year thanks to the bad freezes last winter and spring, but they have been sending us new apple varieties every few weeks. Granny Smiths are the most recent variety to come ripe - these tart, green beauties are known as one of the best baking apples.
