Our sunny moments and green tunnel harvests this week have been plentiful, but punctuated by a bit of bittersweet. One of the most cheerful faces on the Farm over the last few years is now absent. Our Assistant Farm Manager, John Buckley, has finished his stint at Willowsford Farm, departing not for greener pastures, but for taller trees. John is returning to school in pursuit of a new career in forestry. We know a few great people on our Conservancy team who can help him with his homework! John’s easygoing good nature has been a source of warmth during cold days and unflagging energy in the summer heat. We've appreciated his expertise year-round. Finn the Farm dog will certainly miss John’s dog Charlie, his canine partner in crime. Please join us in wishing both John and Charlie well as they tackle this new adventure!
Even as we say goodbye to an old friend, new names pop up daily on our Spring membership roster. Each one gives us both a thrill and a burst of gratitude as our community continues to embrace local sustainable food. While you're singing the praises of CSA, make sure you've also reserved your own farm shares for Spring. Members from prior seasons already know that our automatic renewals for 2021 will be completed next week on January 25th. For members from the summer of 2020, this service allows a seamless continuation of shares, delivery and pickup preferences, and payment plans from one season to the next. Most importantly, autorenew ensures that our returning members are safely subscribed before our 2021 shares sell out. If this Winter is your first season as a member, auto renew doesn't apply to your membership this season. Order your Spring CSA from your online account today!
