Last week of June is here! I don't know how that is possible but its reality! We picked up some timely rains this past week and cooler temperatures that have been a blessing to our farm and all Long Island Farms.
Farm Happenings:
- We are stringing up our field tomatoes and will have our famous beefsteak tomatoes soon!
- We are close to sweet corn!!
- We planted a few acres of fall squash (acorn, butternut, spaghetti, and a few others)
- We are close to pulling our first potatoes out of the ground!
We really hope you are enjoying your boxes as the summer produce really starts to pour in! Yes at times it may get overwhelming (because of the size of the lettuce or other veggies) but please don't get nervous. Worst case scenario you split some goodies with family our neighbors.
Keep posting those pictures and tagging us on social media! We love seeing your dishes! Also, keep sharing the word about the csa to your friends and family! Word of mouth is still the best way to expand our farm family! Enjoy your weekend and keep enjoying your goodies!
