Columbus Day weekend is upon us! There is always something fun going on this weekend on Long Island and I hope your out and about enjoying life. I hope you are taking advantage of the last of the summer vegetables as we start to wind down on veggies like tomatoes and peppers, and eggplant.
With our partnered CSA, I have to organize lots of moving parts the 24hrs leading to your box being delivered. A situation that has arose is if a producer/ supplier of some goods catches a bug, sick, etc., they are always concerned about everyone safety and take the proper precautions to keep everyone safe and healthy. This puts me in a tough, game day situation sometimes, and if a product is missing you will be credited or refunded the following week. I'm sorry for the inconvenience and hope we curtail some on the last minute pivots. That is the hurdle when we harvest the freshest possible products for you.
