October is finally here and the wet pattern continues. They always say be careful what you wish for, and all those extra rain dances we did sure did come to fruition. So I've taken it upon myself to start 'Snow' dances, as we haven't had a real good winter in a few seasons. Not only do I want all the snow, I want it nice and cold for an extended period. It is great to experience and more importantly it helps kill/ cut down on some of the bugs the following season, like ticks, certain grubs, and other bugs that have navigated from the south and have made a home here because we haven't had a good 2 foot deep freeze.
I'm heading upstate NY this weekend to Cortland for my college baseball reunion. We are celebrating our 15 year anniversary of our 2008 team that won 38 games in a row! However, we lost the last 2 at the World Series, nevertheless, it will be a great weekend catching up with long loast teamates. Hopefully the weekend clears up enough here and isnt a total washout again.
Have a great weekend,
Your Farmer,
John
