Hello!
One of the things we like to do on the farm is offer bulk fruit sales from local BC producers. This week we have our first offering of the season, organic cherries from Cawston, BC!
The variety of cherries is called Van and they are delicious, I froze all the ones I couldn't eat fresh last season and they lasted me all winter long!
Unfortunately this season the cool and wet weather led to significant losses and damage to the crop for the farmer we buy from. So the cherries he harvesting fresh for us this week will be a mix of 'first' and 'seconds' quality. Because of that we will be offering them at a discounted price (10% off our normal prices). The farmer was not able to give us more of a discount than that because his costs are still very high and he is loosing so much due to the unforeseeable weather challenges this season. In spite of this, we still wanted to offer you the chance to get some of these delicious cherries.
Cherries will be available for pick up on this Friday 7/15 at 5pm at A Rocha, or on Tuesday 7/19 along with our regular CSA pick ups at A Rocha Farm, Coquitlam, or Burnaby. Unfortunately we will not be able to deliver into Vancouver as the cherries will not come to us until late Friday afternoon.
We are selling them in 5lb, 10lb and 20lb cases.
Pricing is:
$32 for 5lb
$58 for 10lb
$106 for 20lb
Cheers,
Farmer Carly
