Happy Sunday Agriberry enthusiasts,
Our first full weekend of summer is here and gone just like that. I hope you all have spent it well, staying cool, and enjoying what is left of your berries from the week!
This week, one standard share includes a pound of strawberries from our own fields down in Chesterfield, one pint of blueberries from Cottle Farms in North Carolina, one pint of cherries from Crown Orchards in Crozet, Virginia, and one half pint of our own red raspberries grown right here in Hanover, Virginia.
For extras this week, you can add on some pristine peaches from Saunders Farm as well as our made-in-house Agriberry Oat Bars! Honey from our friends at Stargell's Apiaries is also available as an extra.
It finally seems that time is slowing down for me these days. Maybe it is the greater duration of sunlight. Maybe not... Either way, I am glad to be able to bring you all your desired fruits this summer season. I am hoping to get around to all of the pickup locations throughout the month of July so I get a chance to meet everyone.
This week, we will be bringing berry bonnets to cover up the open containers of raspberries. We won't be giving these away to everyone, only those who request it. Due to COVID-19, we are unable to take them back, but you are more than welcome to use your own. To help reduce waste, please bring your own berry bonnets with you to ensure a safe travel of fragile berries from market to your home. If you forget, no problem. We will gladly give you a bonnet and ask that you try your best to use it each week.
This is the same for boxes. If you have Agriberry boxes laying around, feel free to bring them to your pickup site. Though we cannot take them back, we are able to put your week's share into that box. Less waste for you. Less waste for us. Berries for all!
As always, please reach out to me at csa@agriberry.com or 302-668-9352 for any questions, comments, concerns, or inquiries.
Have a lovely week! Stay safe. Stay cool. Keep calm and berry on!
