We hope you all have been enjoying the bounty of the Alaskan harvest this summer. August and September are some of the best months for produce in Alaska! And even though we're sad to see the summer coming to an end, we're excited for the fall produce to come! Coming soon will be more hardy veggies like carrots, winter squash, pumpkins, beets, potatoes and apples.
Speaking of carrots....we've been waiting eagerly for the first carrot harvest of the season from Pam's Carrots, but it's a little behind schedule. Because of the chilly weather the carrots haven't quite sized up yet, but it should be soon!
