Good morning, all! We are a day late with the email this week. Apologies for that. The heat had me out early yesterday and I just didn't get in in time to get it done. I have extended the cutoff time this week until 8:00 AM Friday, to be sure you have enough time to make all your selections.
Head lettuce will make a triumphant return this week, though the salad will have to wait another week. Okra is definitely becoming more plentiful, which several of you have been asking about. And peppers are slowly ripening, so they will continue to be more available as the weeks go on.
Any Sauerkraut makers? We have SO MUCH CABBAGE right now! Some unfortunate timing means we had to harvest ALL OF IT at once (almost 900 heads. eek!) It is fresh market cabbage, so it wont store long in our cooler like the winter varieties. So....... If anyone is interested in some bulk cabbage for kraut or kimchi or some other purpose, PLEASE reach out :) We have more than you could ever desire.
