Good morning, folks! Here we are again! Thursday instead of Wednesday morning. We had a major order to harvest and fill yesterday (80# of kale and 138# of salad!! Whoa!!), and even though we started early, it took a lot longer than anticipated. So..... Thursday email it is. Sorry! I extended the cutoff deadline to Friday morning at 8:00AM.
Ok, so here are a few things to know and be watching for:
- U-Pick Flowers THIS FRIDAY! Feel free to, after you pick up your share, come on over to the flower fields and pick some flowers. $25 for a cup to fill with pretties. Or feel free to bring a picnic or just hang out and play some cornhole or whatever you'd like. But we'll be open till 8:30. Pavilion will and a few tables will be available. Also, if you want to leave your share in the cooler after yu get your veggies, we're happy to store them if you hang out.
- SWEET CORN this week. Our friends at Cowdery Farm raise some amazing sweet corn, and we'd like to offer some to you. It'll be available in your shares and we have extra for purchase. Cowdery Farm is not organic, so the corn is conventionally grown. We just want to be transparent about that.
- CHICKEN AVAILABLE NEXT WEEK! We want you to meet our friends Bryan and Ann Hinkle from Briar Bush Farm. We will begin offering some cuts, whole birds and combo packs starting next week, available either through your Harvie order each week or to just purchase on site when you pick up your share. Bryan will be here to meet you and share a bit about their farm operation. Yay! We're excited!
- PIZZA NIGHT AUGUST 26! Put it on your calendar! We'll have our inaugural public pizza night! Pizza and music and community! Tickets and Prices and more details to come!
- It's BEEF SHARE pickup week. CJ will be there to get your shares to you, and also be selling cuts as normal. Rave reviews so far, so don't miss out!
