Greetings, lovely CSA folk! My what a beautiful week it has been! I hope you've been able to get out and enjoy it. We have made the most of it, getting things planted and more beds ready for Spring. The sun has also been a huge help in growing up those plants who are longing the warmth of summer. Glorious it has been! Real quick list of things to know:
1. We're thankful for you!
2. Spinach makes an appearance today! Slim, but there will be some.
3. Thanksgiving week shares will be delivered IN THE DAYS BEFORE THANKSGIVING. Nobody wants to come out after the holiday, so we'll harvest and pack your shares in the days before, and you can use some goodies for your meal. Pickup days will be TUESDAY, NOV. 21 ON FARM, AND WEDNESDAY NOV. 22 @ THE ATHENS FARMERS MARKET. If you cant make it t pick up your share during those times, we can pack them into our farm stand for you to pick up at your convenience, or you can skip that week and pick back up the next week.
4. VOLUNTEER DAY THIS SATURDAY! If you're interested in helping out a simple task this weekend, we plan to have an onion/garlic planting party :) We have about 7000 bulbs to go in the ground, and that takes a long time for a few sets of fingers to do. If you'd like to help, please send me a note and we'll get you on the list. 9AM-noonish it the plan :)
