We're not always farming :)

Last weekend Lara and I were able to get away from the farm for awhile to attend a very small (<15 people) wedding. Lara's sister, Sam, got married in a park and we were among the very few lucky enough to attend. It was a beautiful day for a wedding and it was great to relax and celebrate Sam and Carter!

This past week on the farm has been VERY wet, muddy and cold. We have good rain gear which allows us to stay relatively comfortable and dry while getting our daily harvest work done. We were even able to get some extra harvesting done for this coming week. We picked several bucket loads of winter squash that will be showing up in the CSAs this week.

We're looking forward to the forecasted nicer weather this week. See you at the CSA pickup!

We utilize cover crops so that our land is covered with living plant material for as much of the season as possible. Cover crops also provide valuable habitat for insects and pollinators. We don't use synthetic chemicals on our farm and we seek to improve our land each year.

We believe that food is medicine and that the better you eat, the healthier you will be. Whole, unprocessed foods are one of the best ways to eat well and stay healthy. We don't spray our produce with synthetic chemicals so you always know exactly what you're eating.
