D&V Organics CSA Week 29
We have finally reached the end of our 2020 CSA season, this week will be the last of 2020! This year has certainly brought some unexpected changes to the way the world operates, but we are all adapting to the new normal. It seems that there is no better time to source produce directly from a farm than now. Connecting our local community with the produce we grow can be challenging at times, but it definitely provides more meaning to the job we do. We wouldn't be able to do what we do without the help of our CSA members, and the capital it provides each Winter as we begin the cycle of planning and growing for the next farming season. Thank you!
Our operation will be winding down in the coming weeks, just in time to get started on a few Winter projects around the farm. Around the beginning of the new year, we will be building a 5,000 sqft. greenhouse to help us extend the growing seasons. The new 2021 seed catalogues have started arriving in the mail and now we must begin planning for next year's season. At the end of January, we'll be starting up our greenhouse to get things seeded for the coming season, so we don't plan to have much down-time this off-season.
We will be setting up all the details for next year's CSA by the end of December, in which case we'll have shares available at a discounted rate to kick off our 2021 season. Stay tuned...
In the meantime, reach out with any questions and be well.
Enjoy,
Derek & Vicky
