Week 22
In some sense it feels like the season has gone by quickly, but in other ways it feels like a long time making it to this point in the year. Our main season CSA runs for 24 consecutive weeks, so for many of you, we will be wrapping up the CSA in a matter of a few more weeks. We will continue to be operating and harvesting through Thanksgiving, so if you need to reschedule any weeks, there is an option to shift boxes to any of the weeks in November if needed. Even though the weather is getting colder, the shares moving forward will primarily consist of greens. In more recent years, we've moved away from root vegetables as staple items in shares and decided to concentrate more on greens like various types of radicchio, kale, chard, bok choi and other similar Asian greens, kohlrabi, spinach, lettuce, arugula, broccoli, cauliflower, broccolini and sprouting cauliflower. The heavy greens push at the end of the season is our attempt at having one last push of greens before the Winter and having to buy green things from the grocery store again.
