Hello Daybreak Shareholders! We have a beautiful share coming your way this week. Loaded with end of summer goodness. Melt in your mouth baby cantaloupe from Dig Deep Farm are a sweet treat that will get your taste buds excited for more (larger) melons in our Local 25 and Family Bounty shares next week. Beautiful blue potatoes from Ironwood Farm are a colorful addition to the share along with the purple eggplant from Villageside Farm and Dig Deep. A great mix of summer crops to relish before we head into autumn.
The fall is upon us though, and with it, our next share season is starting next week! We are excited about new changes with our online ordering platform Harvie that will allow for a pay-as-you go options for our shares. No longer will you have to pay a deposit upfront, ahead of the season, for your CSA. Shareholders will be charged for their share the week of delivery and your shares will continue until you choose to cancel your shares. Below we have some important info about the new season. New Share Season Details
- If you have Auto-Renew selected on your account preferences you will automatically be enrolled in the new season. For info on how to change your preferences or sign up details click here.
- You will be auto-renewed for all the shares that you currently have unless you select otherwise.
- Auto-Renew happens on 8/29 and your account will be charged for your first delivery week on that day. After that you will be charged weekly ahead of your share delivery.
- If you want to change your shares for the fall the best thing is to sign up for the fall shares that you want before Thursdays auto-renew or contact us and we can help you with this.
- If you have not selected Auto-Renew you will have to sign up for the new season, which you can do quickly here. Contact us if you can't figure out if you have auto-renew selected.
- You can cancel your share at any point. Just contact us or the Harvie team.
- The share season runs weekly through December and starts back up again in June.
- You can hold your share at any time if you are going away
- You can choose weekly or bi-weekly deliveries for September through December.
- We will have a bi-weekly Winter to Spring share that runs January through May (more info soon.
News from New Beat!
Here at New Beat Farm we are finishing up our last rounds of cultivation in our fields, sowing cover crop, seeding winter crops for our greenhouses and starting to pull in the fall harvest.
There is still a lot of summer field work but now we are thinking more about the things we need to do before frost, and thinking about prepping for the Common Ground Fair, which is less than a month away! This year at the fair, along with our veggies and dried flowers, we are excited to be selling our fresh pressed raw cider from our sister business Pressed for Cider!
