This weeks shares are filled with a wonderful seasonal abundance including some OG Wild Maine Blueberries from Burke Hill farm. We're excited to be able to offer these in your shares this week, but don't be alarmed if they're a little thawed out by the time you get them. We figured they're so tasty you'll probably eat them within a few weeks anyways, or just pop them back in the freezer at home! Our fruit share this week features 4lbs of these delicious berries, great for saving for a Thanksgiving Pie. If you want more of these be sure to add them to your CSA for next week. They will be offered as an Add-On item.
All Shares next week will be delivered on Tuesday! November 26th.
Since we know folks might need their holiday fixings as early as possible we will be delivering all our shares on Tuesday. Same time and same locations, just a day early for folks that usually get Wednesday deliveries. Next weeks veggie shares will feature a lot of Thanksgiving classics, but if you're hoping for more volume of any of the items below be sure to choose them in the Add-On feature when you get the Share Customization email this Wednesday. When you get your share customization email be sure to check the quantities of the items in your box, and if you need more of anything you can add them on. If you have not taken advantage of you're ability each week to swap and add items into your share basket this would be a great week to give it a try, and do almost all of your thanksgiving day shopping at once (we'll be offering Organic Turkeys next year from Grace Pond to add to our offerings). This is a great way to support your local farmers. If you are starting to plan your meal see the list below of items that will be in the shares or as Add-On items. We also will have a variety of fresh cheeses from Appleton Creamery great for appetizers.

Update from Buckle Farm
As the 2019 growing season comes to an end, we've got the farm all buttoned up for the winter. Our crops grew great this summer and our storage is full of winter squash, root crops, apples and other winter veggies that will head out to customers over the holiday season. We've already started dreaming about next season's crops, just in time for the seed catalogs that are starting to show up in the mailbox. We can't wait to see what 2020 brings to the farm!
