Sorry I am getting this out a bit later today. We had visitors. This week we had at least 8 Harvest Host campers and a former exchange student from Japan. We have kept in touch with Asako for the last 25 years. Watched her grow up, met her parents, get married, have 2 sons and her own business. Was an honor to have her stay over.
This wonderful spider is a Garden Spider. She lives in Greenhouse 2. We witnessed her eating a fly. On constant guard duty eating problem bugs. Usually we find them outside on the green beans etc. The web is large and she doesn't like it much when we accidently water her!
Anyone that wants to help pick green beans is welcome to show up. They are coming on in full bean form. We finally received enough rain to wet the ground. Now when a weed is pulled there is actually moisture on the soil.
