The warm weather seems to be finally here. For a while now it seemed as if it was never going to arrive. Our heritage breed roosters are starting to look like adults. We have one rooster that arrived with a bent leg. Often when they arrived with anything wrong with them there is not much that can be done for them and they don’t often last long. I am happy to report this rooster with the funny leg is thriving. He is often the first chicken to greet me when I arrive to feed them and he gets around very well. I love raising our heritage breed chickens because they are happy chickens getting to live the way chickens were meant to with green grass under their claws and plenty of bugs to chase.
