What's Happening - July 28th & 30th

Posted on July 22nd, 2020 by Mattie Serna

Greetings Farm Fans -

Can you believe that we are halfway through our farm share season?!?!  Time is passing in a strange and unique way this year!

This week we are happy to provide you with our first POTATOES!  Farmer Scott at Pioneer Farms is digging his creamy taters and has listed 2# portions in the regular farm inventory!  I know summer is really here when Scott tells me that he is going to set up his pop-up on the Reno Highway!  The Fallon Melon Man is in season!

I also want to take a moment to let you know that I just received my last delivery of slicers, cherry tomatoes, and Persian cucumbers from Dayton Valley Aquaponics.  Unless another company steps in to lease the business, DVA has been sold and the business is closing.  We will miss their nearly perfect tomatoes and cucumbers (especially all winter long) and I want to extend my thanks for the amazing work that they have done over the past three years to provide us with delicious produce year-round.

Thank you for your continuing support of Nevada Farmers!  It's not easy out there and we are so happy to know that you are a part of our farm family!

Kelli
