Greetings Farm Fans!
Can you believe that it is almost September! We already know that this year is one for the record books - but I am constantly stopped in my tracks at the strange way that time is passing. Part of me feels like it should be turning 2021 already while the other part of me is surprised it isn't still March (aside from the 100+ degree heat of course)!
Our farmers continue to be hard at work harvesting amazing produce for our farm share! This week we have even more raspberries, the first listing of Canary Melons, and LARGE Jalapenos available from Lattin Farms, Purple Osaka Mustard Greens from Salisha, a limited supply of "Delicious" and "Brandywine" Heirloom tomatoes from Pioneer Farms and Desert Farming Initiative, and the first of the season pluots from the Boggeris!
We have crossed the 3 ton mark for produce distributed through our community food grant project AND (our latest news) we secured grant funding to scale-up our delivery services for partner farms through the purchase of a delivery cargo van!!!
