It's really starting to feel like fall out here! The cool evenings have us bundling up ourselves and our vegetables in the high tunnels. We're glad the days are still warm and keeping us supplied with peppers and eggplant for the next few weeks (this weekend is going to be toasty!) We're starting to enter clean up mode just the slightest bit on the farm, which feels satisfying. There's still lots of winter squash and potatoes to get off (and out of, respectively) the ground over the next few weeks, and we've been able to hire a few excellent helpers to lend a hand. We are so grateful to have extra hands on board when we need them and makes us look forward to next year when we can hopefully hire a few folks to join our crew. It's strange to start thinking about next season while there's still so much left to do, but that's just how farming works: always looking ahead. The lovely weather helps me to stay in the moment and appreciate these warm days while they're here. Wishing everyone a week of well-being in the warm weather and delicious eating!

About the farm
Good Dog Farm is a 25-acre vegetable farm in Upperco, Maryland. We are a Certified Naturally Grown farm and use beyond organic growing practices. By farming with the health of our land and customers as our guide, we ensure you the highest quality and safest produce. We use sustainable growing practices to protect our soil and waterways. We supply our customers in the Baltimore and DC regions with delicious, nutritious food that’s always fresh.
We founded the farm in June of 2016. We grow vegetables year-round thanks to our two high tunnels. Our farm provides a diversity of crops for our Community Supported Agriculture program plus wholesale quantities of unique varieties of storage crops like potatoes, winter squash and sweet potatoes.
Our name comes from our shared love of our three dogs, who remind us to live simply and have fun every day.
