Farm Happenings for July 30, 2024

Posted on July 26th, 2024 by Judy Lessler

Hello everyone, I hope you are well.

Rain, Rain and more Rain. The weather is very changeable, too much rain during these last 7 days and with normal temperatures we hope that August will not be the same as this month of July. In August we will start planting greens and we will need abundant rain. For the moment we are waiting for the rain to stop for a few days to start preparing the fields where we will plant different seeds.

From the list we present, please choose the products you wish to have in your next delivery.

Red Potatoes, Edamame, Okra, Peppers, Cucumbers, Figs, Squash, Tomatoes, Sun gold tomatoes, tomatillos and Basil. We leave you an easy and delicious Recipe.

SIMPLE ROASTED OKRA.

Pre-heat oven to 450 degrees. spray cookie sheet or shallow baking pan with olive oil. Toss whole okra with olive oil and minced garlic. Arrange on bread and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Roast until done.

Please don't forget to pick up your bag of vegetables at the usual places.

Happy weekend.

Best regards

Judy, Yoli and Erasmo.
