Hello Farm Members!
We have lots of exciting news on the farm and at the shop this week.
We have been looking for local organic grain to supplement our livestock since we began farming and have finally found a farmer who can help us out. As of next week, we will be switching to 100% local and organic feed. Our livestock will continue to be pasture raised and free ranging but during lean times when they need a bit of grain you can be confident that it has not been shipped long distances, come from GMO seeds or have traces of pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilizers.
We are also very excited to announce that we will now be offering Bushgarden Farmstead Organic Nauvoo Aged Cheddar as one of our regular products! We are in love with this cheese and we hope you will be too.
We still have our fresh and frozen veggies, eggs, local organic flours and Upper Canada Creamery's delicious organic dairy products as well as locally roasted and mixed coffees and teas (think stocking stuffers!).
The store will close a bit earlier this week (Monday at noon) as Upper Canada Creamery needs Christmas orders in before Monday evening. They will then be closed for one week so please order a bit extra if you are hoping for some organic dairy products for your holiday baking and entertaining.
