Hello Butcher Box Members!
We are a bit late in opening the butcher boxes for customization this month as we had new deliveries of pork and chicken that we wanted to include for you but were only able to complete the inventories this morning. We will leave your baskets open for customization until Wednesday morning at 8 to give you a little more time to review and update your baskets.
We had a bit of an adventure with meat processing over the last month. Greg arrived at the abattoir we have been using with our monthly delivery of pigs to find that it had burned to the ground the week prior. We have found a new abattoir and sausage making facility and will take some meat to Brothers for smoking in the fall. The sausages this month are amazing and the pork chops are the best we have ever had, thanks to the lush conditions in the pastures.
