You’ll see some new grocery items on Harvie this week, and we hope you have as much fun eating them as we did finding them! In addition to our Harvie Farms Pittsburgh exclusive pierogies by Forma Pasta, you can find Wild Caught Gulf Shrimp and products by Pittsburgh staple, Pitaland, in our “aisles”.
We’ve gone a little pierogi crazy with all the taste testing we were lucky enough to do! Here are some pierogi pointers to cook up a deliciously local meal in minutes.
- You can saute, fry, or bake the pierogies until golden.
- We recommend sauteing some shallots or onions in butter, and then tossing the pierogies in with them to soak up the flavor. (Find butter and onions on Harvie!)
- Then, serve with the onion mixture and top with sour cream.
- If you’d like to add veggies into this meal, try out Sungold Cherry tomatoes. Their bright acidity pairs well with the creaminess of the pierogies! (Get your Sungold Cherry Tomatoes on Harvie—coming from Clarion River Organics!)
