Grape harvest has been looking great! Until a week ago at least. The grapes did not ripen last week and now we are fighting for time as the Robins migrate down and eat with a voracious appetite. This also put a damper on our tomato production. We won't have any ripe tomatoes this week. We will likely be harvesting early this coming week and making the most we can with what we have. The ripeness levels are similar to last year and we don't anticipate making any red wine from our Syrah.
Climate change may make a warmer Northwest climate but without good sunlight and air we still won't be able to grow good crops.
