What’s so special about Lazy Eight Stock Farm? I think foremost is the fact that we are part of an amazing community. Our roots in Paint Lick and Berea go pretty deep. When good things are happening in either of those places, it’s encouraging and energizing. The success of Katie and Michael Startzman’s Native Bagel and sister restaurant Nightjar is so heartening. Then, who would have thought that, thanks to Mark and Amanda Gumbert, Paint Lick would be boasting a real farm-to-table restaurant with Solidago. Not only that, but “downtown” Paint Lick has undergone a real transformation with the new streetscape. For those of you who live outside Berea, all three of these venues are worth the drive!
What makes Lazy Eight Stock Farm special – the relationships we enjoy with folks like the Startzmans and Gumberts and all who support building our local economy. Investing in community comes with its own rewards – we appreciate the investment you have made in our farm by being part of our CSA!
