The skies have opened up and blessed us with rain! The simple things in life give so much relief, we will have some crops, maybe not so much insect pressure, a lot less plant stress, drought proofing the farm is the top goal, although the list is endless...
Some things will start to fill out very quickly such as the beautiful green cabbages we have waiting to mature, and the weeds will run amuck, guaranteed hours of work ! Hahaha! Never enough hours in a day when it seems like a sprint to the finish line, the season being so short!
This week we see the new high tunnel arrive on Thursday, stabilizing our greens production is the goal, so we can support a year round local food system!
This week we have put the option of 1lbs units of garlic scapes on offer so you can make and freeze some pesto! Our green onions are courtesy of Clearwater, and beets once again from Wheelbarrow farms. I never realized how big our community would be when I started on this journey!
Don't forget all the amazing extras that are on offer by so many great small businesses!
Have an amazing week wherever you may be!
