Lots of greens and lettuce still in your CSA share. We harvest almost everything the day before you get it so it's super fresh. We choose varieties based on their flavor, nutritional value and sometimes for disease resistance-not for shelf life! Some items you'll notice will last longer, others go quickly. If you don't think you'll get around to the kale or chard put it in a ziplock and throw it in the freezer for smoothies, soups and stews at a later time (even this winter).
Make a quick homemade dressing for all those salad greens with your favorite jam, high quality cold pressed olive oil and balsamic vinegar. You'll eat more salad with a homemade dressing!
