Happy rainy Friday! Happy final week of our 4 week Spring (May) CSA.
We picked our first real round of strawberries today just as it started to rain! The rain comes after quite a dry spell for us. After cold May temps we saw hot, windy weather and no rain for well over a week. It is welcome today even if the crew was soaked to the bone harvesting for market tomorrow, planting peppers, dill, tomatoes etc.
So you should see some strawberries offered for Tuesday. On farm pick up don't fret, there should be some to purchase on site - I will be conservative with my estimate for Harvie.
Bread share this week will be a large loaf of simple country sourdough. There are additional small loaves for extra purchase. Check them out!
We are gearing up for the start of our Main season June 2nd. It was a cold April and has been a cold May so far. Outdoor crops have bolted quickly and need replanted. Frost bitten plants have been replanted. It may be a slow start to Main season shares but we are gearing up to have a great bounty and plenty of diversity for the summer.
Be Well, Stay safe and thank you for your support!
