Thank goodness for some rain this week! What a bounty it has been. We have harvested all the garlic now and many of the Walla Walla sweet onions so you will see those this week along with more beautiful and prolific summer squashes. We have patty pan, yellow squash and Cocozella Italian heirloom zucchini.
Isabelle, Henry and I were invited to Deep Creek Lake for a mini vacation this week and we'll be home tomorrow (my eldest daughter, Sammi, 17, stayed home). The crew has been running the show and I feel really good about leaving them in charge for a few days. It feels good to take a break and enjoy some time away.
I hope you all have some time to get away and enjoy your families this summer. Remember you can place your share on hold, reschedule your share to double up the week before or the week after you go away or any other time you like. Just reschedule before you get the customization email. You can also change your weekly pick up location just once or twice added convenience. Harvie University will walk you through the 'how to' of many of these changes, just take a moment to familiarize yourself with all your options before you go away.
