We have begun digging the first of the new potatoes this week. They are small tender and delicious! Summer is in full swing around the farm and we're bringing in summer squash and cucumbers in quantity and the tunnel tomatoes are increasing in number daily.
I took off a few days this week to sneak away to Deep Creek Lake with my 14 & 11 year old. So much fun to be had. Unfortunately I jumped into the creek on a bottom of rocks and now have a foot fracture....so if you see me hobbling around at the farm on crutches you'll know the reason.
The crew did a solid job without and I am so grateful for the hard work they've put in to allow me a few days with my family.
