We harvested the first of the spaghetti squash and watermelons yesterday. And it's pepper season! There are plenty of beautiful red and yellow sweet peppers as well as a variety of hot peppers including round red cherry peppers, green and red patrons and cayennes.
The last of the cantaloupe melons are for fruit share this week. We hope you have enjoyed them!
It seems to rain all around us, but not on Oak Spring. Rain looked ominous all week but we only had some drizzle here, barely enough to wet the surface. We're hoping for RAIN!! Fall crops are coming along slowly. The winter squashes look great.
Some housekeeping notes for members at market drop spots: Please remember to bring back your bags every week. **If you are late to pick up your share or forgot to pick up please text Lisa 443-605-3063 ASAP Best to come by 11am at both Hereford and JFX markets. Otherwise please plan ahead as best you can to utilize the Harvie system and put your share on Hold for vacations and such. YOU also have 3 times to switch your pick up location if it is more convenient some weeks to pick up on Tuesdays at another drop spot. Thanks so much -this system is a great way to help us all be more efficient and organized.
As always thank you for supporting this small, organic farm. We work hard to serve you high quality, nutrient dense super fresh produce. We love what we do and couldn't do it without YOU!
