As we welcome the Fall Equinox, I find myself reflecting on the balance it represents—the equal day and night, a perfect transition from the warmth of summer to the crispness of autumn.
For me, it’s a time of gratitude for the abundance of the season and excitement for the changes ahead. And you KNOW we have some changes in store.
What the Equinox Means for Us in Zone 7
For our farming operation in Zone 7, the equinox marks a shift in our daily rhythm.
The days grow shorter, and we’re preparing the fields and tunnels for cooler temperatures. Yes, we're pulling out some tomato plants!
But don’t worry—the veggies won’t stop. We are gearing up for our Winter CSA, which will keep your plates full of fresh, local produce into the colder months.
So keep eating with us, through every season, and continue supporting your health and local farms.
