It snowed today! I love the smell of fresh snow. Clean and crisp. I won't lie...I have been waiting for the first snow to arrive and am very excited that it is here! It makes for a very clear end to the field work. Time to rest.
This past week, Becky and I went down to Madison for a farmer discussion about CSA customization. It was very interesting! I was there to talk about Harvie, the CSA software that we are using. It is one-of-a-kind and there were many questions about it. Mainly, what do our members think of Harvie? It was pretty easy to answer...they love it! There are other platforms out there and in the end I am VERY happy that we chose Harvie.
The founder and CEO of Harvie, Simon Huntley visited Park Ridge Organics this past week. It was a chance to talk one on one about the program he created and how it works for our farm. He is a forward thinker and I enjoyed hearing about the improvements and future visions he sees for the Harvie farms and members. Check out this article he wrote in 2017 about increasing CSA members worldwide to 5 million by 2030.
