Last week was a busy one. Went back home last Thursday for a funeral, and while the reason for the visit was sad, I hadn't seen my family since last October, and it was so good to catch up, meet new family members and see the kids playing with aunts, uncles, and cousins. Life is short, and so is the growing season. Long cold winters really help you appreciate the abundance and excitement of the growing season, cramming as much as you can into our short season, as well as trying to prepare what we can for winter storage. Most of our onions are now drying and curing, the garlic just needs to be cleaned and sorted for planting/eating, and we will see what other items we can wrangle up for the winter. We are also about half way through the CSA. Time really flies, and I hope you are out there enjoying it.
