Hey there,
Georgetown Nov. 16 Saturday Pick Up at 84 Confederation St. Glen Williams 9am-12pm
Red Rabbit Farm Nov. 16 Saturday Pick Up 9am -9pm
As we still pull a few veggies out of the garden and clean up the garden for the winter, we are also starting to forage through the bush and at a lovely neighbours' for greenery for our holiday wreaths, urns, swags and workshops coming up after Nov. 12. We will have different items made and ready to go at the Georgetown Holiday Market on Nov. 30, or simply pop in at the farm when you have an hour or two and make your own. Enjoy some peace on your own, or bring some friends and family.
After clomping through the garden all summer, now we are trudging through the boggy bush full of cedars and dogwood, grabbing little bits here an there, we also have little spots full of spruce, white pine, and boxwood. This is one of my favourite things about working here at the farm. The seasonality of everything, the cycles, the waxing and waning of all the steps and stages of the seasons, weather, holidays, veggies and animals. Nothing has enough time to get boring, and there is always something new to do or see or work on.
So as I find this time of year as a wonderful excuse to go for a stroll in the late fall, exploring through the bush with out bugs and some of the undergrowth in the way as we collect evergreen boughs, I hope you take the chance to enjoy the changing seasons, light levels and surroundings. In Canada our seasons are so dynamic, so enjoy them while they last.
