Hello and how's it going?
It was another adventurous week around the farm. This one was highlighted by a few visits from tour groups. On Tuesday we hosted about 15 interns and staff members from Grow Pittsburgh for a fun tour. Susanna and I both used to work at Grow Pittsburgh, so it was fun to connect with some of our farming roots through the awesome work they are doing to promote healthy food production in the city.
Then on Thursday we hosted a PASA Twilight Tour. This one was an opportunity for neighboring farmers to come and see what's going on at Rivendale. We enjoyed showing them some of successes (and failures) while they swapped stories from their farming experience as well.
All of this tour talk has us thinking....we need to get our CSA members out to the farm for a tour. More info on that will follow soon.
