As the fall season winds down - just two more pick-ups in 2020! - we've been enjoying the beautiful weather this week, but have been feeling the strain of the challenging conditions for growing since Thanksgiving. The extreme temperature drop at the beginning of last week, and the crazy rain storm before Thanksgiving wiped out or severely stressed some of our crops. But we still have a great looking share for you, including loads of beautiful bok choy, cabbages, radishes, carrots, and more from our two sites, as well as spinach, collards, and sweet potatoes from Indian Springs Farmers Co-op in Mississippi. Unfortunately, our farm friends at Compostella Farm lost almost everything they had for the second half of December, so we won't have their baby greens in the share again until after the new year.
We also restocked our in-demand "lezzies growing veggies" River Queen Greens T-shirts. You can place an order on our Etsy site for those and any other Rutabaga Bodega gear and make a note that it should go in the farm share (you won't be charged for shipping).
Lastly, please note that the next farm share season will begin mid-January and if you are currently signed up for the fall farm share, you will automatically be auto-renewed for the spring share. Find out more, including how to opt out of auto renewal, here.
Peace and Greens.
ps - We have a farm share FAQ webpage! It might answer some of your questions before you have to send an email about it :)
