The last week of our 2020 fall farm share is here! We're starting to get the hang of how seasons flow here in Southern Louisiana: hurricanes, draught, extreme heat, freezes, torrential rain - we had it all this fall. Our tremendous farm crew and our wonderful customers helped us get through it.
There's still time to order your River Queen Greens Ts (with or without the "lezzies growing veggies" tagline) on Etsy and note that you want it packed with your share. You can also find all our Rutabaga Bodega veggie pun Ts, tea towels, kids shirts, onesies, and postcards on our Etsy site too for your last minute holiday shopping for those veggie loving weirdos/nerds/rockstars in your life.
As for the veggies we have a great share for you this week (minus the typical assortment of baby greens from Compostella, who lost the second half of December's crop), including lots of beautiful produce from our fields, celery from Major Acre Farm, and spinach and collards from Indian Springs.
Finally, please keep a look out for emails about the next share starting up in mid-January. There will likely be changes to the Blue House location and day. Stay tuned!
It's been a great season at the farm, and we're so grateful that you've been part of it.
Have a wonderful and safe new year.
The River Queen Greens Team
PS - Don't forget you can drop off clothing, tent, and bedding donations at our farm when you pick up your share. We're collecting on behalf of Southern Solidarity.
